Modern slavery concerns
The National Reconstruction Fund Corporation (NRFC) is committed to identifying, assessing and addressing modern slavery risks in its operations, investments and supply chains.
We encourage members of the public, suppliers, workers, investee businesses, business partners and other stakeholders to raise concerns about actual, suspected or potential modern slavery risks connected to the NRFC.
You do not need to establish that modern slavery has occurred before raising a concern. Information you provide can help us identify and assess potential risks and determine appropriate action.
What concerns can be raised?
Modern slavery involves situations where coercion, threats or deception are used to exploit people and undermine their freedom. It can include forced labour, human trafficking, servitude and debt bondage.
Concerns may relate to modern slavery risks connected to:
- the NRFC’s operations and procurement activities;
- goods and services supplied to the NRFC;
- businesses in which the NRFC invests, or is considering investing;
- the operations and supply chains of suppliers, contractors, investee businesses or other business partners; and
- other activities or relationships connected to the NRFC.
You can raise a concern based on something you have experienced, observed or otherwise become aware of. You do not need to be directly affected by the issue to report it.
